My new toy: A 2005 Fuji Absolute Hybrid Bike

I've been commuting to work on Sportsmart bikes for about a year. Well I guess I've gotten into it! I was sick of my bottom end Sportsmart bike falling apart and generally not feeling very good, so I got a new Fuji Hybrid bike. I was thinking about a road bike but was told that the flat-bar hybrid would give me better handling in the city. Since I only ride on downtown San Francisco streets I figured that'd come in handy - especially on some of the crazy five lane roads in SOMA. It's only about 23 pounds, and it's amazing what a difference it is compared to the old bike. It's way faster, handles well, and is easier to ride. I'm still getting used to it but I can tell once I get a feel for the bike it'll take corners like crazy.
