So I'm a bit of a home theater dork (details here), but it's not because I think extra inches on my TV will transfer to my penis. As a film school grad, there *are* legitimate reasons to have a decent screen and sound system. Not for every movie - some are fully story driven and the bells and whistles sort of don't matter - but many films truly do pay attention to the smallest details...

The WSJ (and loads of blogs) are buzzing today with the announcement of a new LG TV that will have the capability to directly stream Netflix videos without any additional hardware. In other words, in addition to the usual A/V and HDMI inputs on the back of the TV, this new set will also have an ethernet port. Upgrading the Marantz SR7200 Power Cord
